Job Responsibilities - Reporting into the Sr. Strategy & Insights Manager to identify growth opportunities among Canadian consumers and understand their consumption and shopper behavior to unlock ways-to-win.
- Collaborate with the category and trade teams to identify customer growth opportunities and learning needs.
- Translate and prioritize those needs to develop and execute an annual learning plan that drives improved business results.
- Leverage existing and new consumer and shopper insights to inspire our marketing, category, trade teams with clear understanding of the Canadian consumer.
- Design, analyze, develop and present findings to internal and external customer stakeholders.
- Drive the business’s understanding of Shopper and Trade trends that supports strategic long term planning.
- Ensure local adherence to Global mandated Shopper Insights requirement and methodologies
- Leverage & manage supplier relationships to maximize quality and value (on a project by project basis)
Job Qualifications - A University Degree in Business or related field
- Minimum 4-5 years experience in market research
- Previous experience in Shopper research and retail/trade is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies/techniques
- Understanding of marketing processes: business planning, marketing strategy, advertising development, media and promotions
- Competency in managing complex/strategic research projects
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret results
- Ability to effectively present to senior & diverse audience
- Strong leadership & negotiation skills to deal effectively with senior managers and a wide variety of external stakeholders with differing agendas
