About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Structural Marine Engineer (P.Eng.) to join a leading engineering consultancy specializing in marine and coastal infrastructure . This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in the design, assessment, and rehabilitation of marine structures , including ports, harbors, piers, wharves, ferry terminals, and coastal protection works .

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and analysis of marine and waterfront structures, ensuring compliance with North American codes and standards.
  • Perform structural assessments, inspections, and rehabilitation plans for aging marine infrastructure.
  • Develop detailed engineering reports, technical specifications, and construction drawings .
  • Conduct load analysis, finite element modeling, and durability assessments for marine structures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geotechnical, coastal, and environmental engineers.
  • Support tendering, procurement, and contract administration for marine projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Engage with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to support project development.

Requirements

  • P.Eng. designation in a Canadian province (or eligibility for registration).
  • 6+ years of experience in marine and coastal structural engineering .
  • Expertise in reinforced concrete, steel, timber, and composite materials for marine applications.
  • Proficiency in SAP2000, S-Frame, STAAD.Pro, or similar structural analysis software .
  • Strong understanding of Canadian and North American codes (CSA, AASHTO, CHBDC, PIANC, etc.) .
  • Experience with wave, tidal, and vessel impact load assessments is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
