Job Description

Reporting to the Distribution Center Director, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, measuring, improving, and overseeing all activities related to the St-Bruno distribution center. The supervisor must maintain positive working relationships with all employees and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures to meet operational objectives. Additionally, they are responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and enforcing health & safety regulations in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise and coordinate activities related to order preparation, shipping and receiving, and inventory management in accordance with company policies.
2. Conduct regular checks on activities performed by staff under their supervision.
3. Engage employees and enforce compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, personnel management programs, training, quality control, and equipment maintenance.
4. Measure team performance and support team members in achieving set objectives.
5. Assess and determine staffing needs, and participate in workforce planning to maximize distribution center efficiency.
6. Develop and implement performance indicators to track goal achievement; establish corrective actions to boost productivity, improve work methods, and meet targets.
7. Identify operational needs and recommend improvements in work methods and equipment with a view to continuous improvement.
8. Perform any other tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the department.

Competencies

1) Qualifications

• College diploma in transportation logistics or equivalent combination of training and relevant experience;
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including 2 to 3 years managing shipping and receiving operations;
• Proficiency in spoken French and functional English;
• Knowledge of SAP and Excel.
