WAREHOUSE LEAD (16 month Contract)

Your Position & How You Will Contribute:

Reporting to the Purchasing Director, We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Lead to coordinate and oversee the daily operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that orders are filled accurately and in a timely manner. This is an active position where the successful candidate will help receive incoming deliveries and put away in the appropriate areas. Organize stock and maintain appropriate levels to insure material is always ready and on hand. Assist and help lead quarterly inventory counts, Help maintain a clean work environment. Responsibilities & Key Duties include:

• Provide day-to-day leadership to the telMAX warehouse team.
• Learn and understand our warehouse management system. (ScanForce)
• Unload materials from vendor delivery vehicles
• Receive product using scanning technology and verify packing slips.
• Work with Finance to resolve inventory issues.
• Identify any discrepancies between packing slips and purchase orders, and address with Director-Purchasing
• Inspect, sort, count, and verify inventory received, and place in warehouse.
• Stage products for pick-up based on pick sheets received from contractors and telMAX staff.
• Support ongoing quarterly inventory counts and regular cycle counts.
• Investigate inventory-related issues.
• Maintain a safe working environment for telMAX staff and our contractors and vendors.
• Maintain equipment and tools.
• Ensure that the warehouse and property is kept clean, organized, and safe.

• Effective communications skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong process orientation, and ability to problem solve.
• Organization, time management, and prioritization abilities.
• Ability to work independently and reliably meet tight deadlines with high quality work.
• Comfortable with using technology, including familiarity with MS Office (especially Excel).

Education:

• Highschool graduate
• Valid forklift certification (Required)
• Telehandler certification (Asset)

Experience:

• drivers license required
• 2+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
• 2+ years of forklift or reach truck driving experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Experience within utilities, telecommunications, or other large construction businesses
• Knowledge of best practices in Warehouse processes and procedures
