Job Description

We are looking to fill multiple positions with candidates who are both capable and willing to work in both the field and their warehouse . Forklift experience is required.

Start date is ASAP, and 6 month contract duration to start

D&A Test, Criminal Check and Drivers Abstract will be required during onboarding.

The Shop Technician will assist the Shop/ Inventory Manager & Mechanical Coordinator with equipment readiness and maintenance. In addition to the maintenance and readiness of the equipment the Shop Technician will ensure that shop maintenance areas are stocked appropriately with tools, supplies, and other applicable items to ensure the mission readiness and capability of the equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory in an orderly manner
• Pull parts for various project and stage for shipping
• Load and unload trucks
• Receive deliveries
• Reconcile returns against original shipping documents
• Deliver equipment to sites
• Restock components upon return from project
• Perform preventative maintenance of equipment
• Inspect equipment before and after each project
• Complete minor repair of equipment

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to operate a forklift is preferred
• Ability to use hand tools
• Ability to organize and maintain regional repair shops to provide for timely and effective repairs of the equipment
• Primary knowledge of the variety of fittings, valves, pipe, other rental equipment, and the fabrication of threaded piping assemblies
• Ability to learn and understand more extensive knowledge of mechanical equipment and pipe work.
• Familiar and comfortable working with a computer
• Acceptable Experience and Training
• Documented mechanical aptitude or formal mechanical education.
• Forklift Operator training preferred

Required Certificates and/or Licenses

Valid Driver’s License

Working Conditions

Work is executed primarily in a shop/warehouse type environment

Physical Demands

At industrial sites and in the shop environment one may be required to carry equipment (up to 40 pounds), climb stairs and ladders

Safety Equipment/Apparel

(This position requires the wearing or use of the following equipment and/or apparel.)

Client will provide appropriate PP&E: fireproof clothing, hard hat, safety shoes, gloves, etc. Some facilities require the use of respirators.
