Job Description

Toronto Christian Community Church, a multi-language church in South Markham, Ontario, has served its community and beyond since 1975, with a mission to grow Christ’s disciples and impact the world through compassion and reconciliation. The church also operates the 105 Gibson Centre, a community care hub dedicated to serving the local area and sharing Jesus’ love. The Saturday Cantonese contemporary worship, started two years ago, now has 180 attendees, mostly young people from Hong Kong seeking purpose. Monthly events like Chill Saturday bring in 50-70 non-believers. We’re looking for mature Christians to join our pastoral team in reaching Cantonese-speaking youth through activities like social media, coffee meetups, basketball, and gospel sharing.

The Youth Outreach Ministry Worker, reporting to the Young Adult Pastor, will:

1. Organize programs, handle logistics, and coordinate with volunteers and service providers.
2. Recruit and reach out to seekers with volunteer support.
3. Care for seekers and guide them to Christ.
4. Support newcomers in settling into the church and fellowships.
5. Build connections to foster community and spiritual growth.

Qualifications and Traits:

1. A pleasant personality, friendly, team-oriented, self-motivated, and open-minded.
2. Strong Bible study skills.
3. Leadership to inspire and create momentum.
4. A university degree.
5. Familiarity with church environments and experience working with pastors.
6. Experience and passion for outreach, especially in a Canadian context.
7. Fluent Cantonese is required; English and Mandarin are a plus.
