- Provide excellent customer service – both internal/external.

- Process export gateway shipments by working closely with immediate counterparts in the air export departments both TYO and OSA , booking the cargo, processing consolidation paperwork, and scanning all documents into our document imaging system.
- Maintaining positive vendor relations with our carrier partners.
- Constant communication with the warehouse staff during the consolidation process. Ensures quality and compliance as shipments are received and tendered to our vendors.
- Dispatching and overseeing all airport transfers .
- On-going commitment to quality and data integrity. Responsible for daily updating and monitoring of various reporting tools
- Detailed attention to CASS accounting and local accounting to ensure we are paying our bills timely and correctly.
- Responsible for the management of our capacity through posted consolidation schedules and in booking additional space as needed.
- Maintain and update all posted tariffs from our vendors.
- Required 52 hours of training per year.
Scope of Position In this challenging and varied position you will be responsible for the correct receiving, processing and follow up on all air freight shipments moving through the Air Export Gateway.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Track & trace outbound gateway shipments;
- Prepare, manage & send out the daily delay reports before the daily deadlines;
- Manage STAT1 report;
- Build relationship with several carriers;
- Prepare and process inbound trucks in customsware and ETMS;
- Submit and double check customs documents in customsware;
- Process IC’s in customsware;
- Check shipments in cargonaut;
- Process air export bookings with several carriers;
- Request spot rates at carriers;
- ‘Understand the math’, and do the math before book a shipment;
- Consolidate shipments to make more profit;
- Close IC’s without errors;
- Prepare & process document pouch for the warehouse and ground handler;
- Manage HSR routing screen;
- Manage AMS-Gateway email box;
- Request quotes at several carriers, find the best option for the shipment;
- Provide best quote offers to the origins;
- Plan, manage & process ULD’s with several contours;
- Working within the Expeditors compliance rules;
- Understand department process flow;
- Working closely with colleagues of the export warehouse;
- Working with gateway workflow.
- Create general knowledge about Aviation logistics
People
- Identify with manager / supervisor, develop, and mentor your No. 2
- Support the supervisor where needed
- Allocate workloads within team to ensure smooth operations during peak activity or staff absence
- Be a guide for the team - mentor agents
- Ensure team meets company standards of 52 hours training per year per employee
- Follow-up new hires training as per the company requirement standards
- Periodically communicate department goals and expectations with team to ensure buy-in and accountability

- Promote productivity tools (e.g. using edoc and edoc treeview, export database, process management)
- Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements with your team
- Be involved and suggest system/process improvements

Qualifications
- Minimum of one year relevant logistic experience is a must;
- IATA DG and/or ADR DF certification is preferred, not mandatory;
- Understand the basics of DG is preffered;
- Constantly looking for areas to improve and ways to work more efficiently;
- Fluent in English and Dutch (verbally and reading/writing);
- You’re a flexible and hard worker, no 9-5 mentality;
- Open to work during the nightshift, weekend shift and on National Holidays;
- Software/computer knowledge (Excel, Word and outlook);
- Team player, professional, self-disciplined, customer service minded, accurate.
