JOB DESCRIPTION:
Insight Global is looking for a Junior Associate Analyst for one of the top banks in downtown Montreal. This candidate will provide support and deliver specific operational processes to ensure timely and accurate settlement of Security, Derivative, Foreign Exchange and Money Market transactions executed globally. Specific operational processes include pre and post settlement support related to account opening, confirmation, cash management, margin, and collateralization. They will also provide support for specialized operations - Asset Servicing (corporate actions/entitlements), Correspondent Banking Services, and the Wire Payment Operations hub for the bank. They will ensure compliance with all regulatory topics and reporting requirements related to the products and processes it supports.
DUTIES:
- Gather and format data into reports and dashboards.
- Support change management of varying scope and type; tasks typically focused on execution and sustainment activities.
- Organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Execute routine tasks such as service requests, transactions, queries etc. within relevant service level agreements.
- Follow documented policies and procedures to execute day to day transactions, activities, processes and ensure all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Check and reconcile information and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Identify and analyze issues and problems, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Deal with clients directly to resolve issues and/or escalates as required.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in order to deliver on business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 1 year of experience in banking, accounting, or operations.
- PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
