Job Title: Automotive Mechanic - 310T

Location: Johnstown, ON K0E 1T1

Salary: CA$35 - CA$45/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic - 310T to join our client's team in Johnstown, ON .

The ideal candidate will have a valid 310T license and a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, including trucks, vans, and specialty service equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on light and medium-duty trucks, vans, and specialty service vehicles.
• Conduct regular inspections and address mechanical issues following Ministry of Transportation guidelines.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, tire, and electrical system issues.
• Estimate time and material costs for fleet and vehicle repairs.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and initiate service calls as required.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair services performed.
• Coordinate with the Fleet Manager to ensure timely servicing of all vehicles.
• Stay updated with advancements in vehicle technology and best maintenance practices.
• Ensure compliance with Ontario health & safety standards and company policies.
• Communicate with the Fleet Manager for approval of material purchases.
• Perform off-site service calls as required for fleet maintenance and repairs.
• Handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs, pushing, pulling, carrying, and prolonged standing/walking.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A valid 310T license is required.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in the heavy truck/equipment industry as a licensed mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for various automotive and technical systems.
• Proficiency with hand/electric tools and vehicle maintenance equipment.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office/Google Docs is an asset.
• A valid Ontario G driver’s license (clean driving record) is required.
• Ability to commute to Prescott, ON for work.
