Job Title: Draftsman

Location: Greater Toronto Area (In Person)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour (Based on experience)

About the Role:

We are hiring a skilled Draftsman on behalf of our client in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The selected candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models for manufacturing and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of CAD software and a keen eye for precision.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Drafting & Design:

• Create 2D and 3D technical drawings and blueprints based on project specifications.
• Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to develop accurate drafts.
• Revise and modify drawings as per project changes or client feedback.

Software & CAD Modeling:

• Use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or other CAD software to generate technical drawings.
• Develop and maintain design libraries and project documentation.
• Convert sketches, concepts, and rough drafts into professional drawings.

Quality Control & Compliance:

• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
• Conduct quality checks and assist in troubleshooting design issues.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Coordinate with production teams, engineers, and clients to finalize designs.
• Interpret client needs and project requirements into technical plans.
• Maintain project documentation and design records for future reference.

Work Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts (Day, Evening, and Weekend availability may be required).
• Monday to Friday.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Open to applicants from inside and outside Canada.
• No French language requirement.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in drafting, CAD design, or a related role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or other CAD software.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans.
• Ability to work with tolerances, dimensions, and material specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, construction, or architectural design is an asset.
