Job Description

Primary Scope of Role :

• Operate hauling trucks loaded with asphalt, sand, aggregate, and other materials.
• Secure all loads, materials, and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment and equipment, both interior and exterior
• Perform mandatory daily pre-trips and post-trips inspections in accordance with current laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate log of hours worked in compliance with current laws and regulations.
• Follow a schedule for pick-up and deliveries according to priority.
• Verify hauling material and weight.
• Communicate with foreman or other equipment operators to ensure delivery of materials are according to job specifications.
• Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of GIP Interpaving Limited Health & Safety Policy Program
• Constantly monitor, service, and document the equipment logs and inspection as per the preventative maintenance and standard requirements.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines and carry out assignments to completion.
• Perform other related duties as required

Position Requirements :

• Valid D(Z)/A(Z) Drivers License
• A minimum of three year of related driving experience
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, have an acceptable driving record (CVOR & Drivers Abstract required)
• Have good written & communication skills.
• Understanding of CVOR rules and Regulations
