1. Program Overview
Are you passionate about sharing your teaching expertise and interested in
experiencing China's dynamic education system? The Jiangsu English Teacher Training
Program offers international educators a unique opportunity to make a meaningful
impact while gaining valuable cross-cultural experience in one of China's most
developed regions.
This program aims to enhance teaching methodologies for local English teachers by
providing an immersive environment where they can experience international teaching
approaches, and explore their practical applications in local contexts while improving
their comprehensive language skills and collaborative abilities through project-based
learning.
Our Program has successfully trained and benefited over 800 English teachers from
elementary, middle, and high schools across various cities in Jiangsu Province.

Program Structure ●
Each week hosts three groups of English teachers from Jiangsu Province
(approximately 90 teachers in total):
●Primary School Group: ~30 teachers
●Middle School Group: ~30 teachers
●High School Group: ~30 teachers
Our teaching team consists of 3 educators, each primarily responsible for one
level
●Cross-level Teaching: Occasional sessions with other level groups are arranged
to expose local teachers to diverse teaching styles. Educators should be able to
adjust content difficulty accordingly.
2. Program Benefits & Responsibilities
Benefits:
●Competitive Weekly Stipend: Earn a weekly stipend of CAD 1450, with a
one-time bonus ranging from $100 to CAD 200 for a high satisfaction rating.
●Accommodation Arrangements: Jiangsu Local Education Center’s dormitory
●Meal Arrangements: Three meals per day are included throughout the program.(
The menu primarily features authentic Chinese cuisine).
●Visa Assistance and Travel Support: Receive an invitation letter and visa
assistance. We'll also arrange and pay for your round-trip flights.
●Dedicated Support and Cultural Immersion: Enjoy seamless coordination with
English-speaking staff, including airport transfers and weekend excursions to
Jiangsu cities.
●Basic Medical Insurance provided
Responsibilities:
Pre-departure & Teaching Preparation
●Actively participate in online planning meetings with the teaching team(
usually 3 educators in a team, each specializing in primary, middle, or high
school level)
●Collaborate with fellow instructors to develop curriculum and teaching
materials
●Submit lesson plans for approval
●Be responsive and flexible to curriculum adjustments based on team
needs
Program Commitment
●Teaching schedule: You will be teaching approximately 25 hours per
week (5 days a week ), including lesson delivery, discussions, and
interactive training sessions.,
●Commitment of 2 or 3 weeks
●Sign and honor the teaching contract
●Maintain flexibility for occasional schedule adjustments
Professional Performance
●Foster active engagement with local students
●Work collaboratively with the teaching team
●Participate in regular team meetings and sharing sessions
●Contribute to a positive and supportive teaching environment
●Be open to feedback and continuous improvement
3. Eligibility Requirements
●Native speaker.
●Teaching license (from a Canadian province) - preferred.
●Degree in Education, Literature preferred.
●ESL-TEFL/TESOL certificate- preferred.
●Minimum of 2 years of primary or secondary school teaching experience.
●Possess excellent classroom management skills
●Ability to Design daily lesson plans in accordance with the requirement
●Employs a variety of holistic instructional methods
●Demonstrated enthusiasm for Chinese culture and education; prior
research and understanding of Jiangsu's educational landscape would be
highly advantageous

As part of the program, participants will have the chance to experience Nanjing , the
capital city of Jiangsu Province, known for its rich history and vibrant culture. Nanjing, a
former capital of several Chinese dynasties, is home to many historical landmarks such
as the Ming Dynasty City Wall and the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum. The city blends itsancient heritage with modern development, offering a unique cultural experience for
those interested in exploring China’s past and present.
