Company Profile

Our client is a US-based financial services and bank holding company with global operations.

The Role

• Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory reports to local authorities, including but not limited to the FSA and the Bank of Japan.
• Ensure an accurate and timely accounting environment by managing day-to-day accounting data production across regional hubs, covering Accounts Payable, Billing, and Accounting.
• Strengthen governance and control frameworks for monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing and reconciliations.
• Track and assess local regulatory, business, and industry developments that may impact regulatory and statutory reporting.
• Manage and coordinate external and internal audits, regulatory inspections, and inquiries.
• Collaborate with the external firm for local tax filings.

Your Skills

• 10+ years of working experience with extensive knowledge in Accounting, Taxation, Financial Reporting, or Regulatory Reporting
• Proficient in English to communicate with the global team
• Proficient in Japanese to communicate with the local team and the external stakeholders
• Any finance-related qualifications/certifications will be preferred, but not a must
