Launched in 2017, PlayOJO.com, an award-winning online casino and bingo brand, is growing our Global Creative Team. The team collaborates with internal country marketing managers, online and offline channel specialists and multiple external marketing agencies to deliver a multi-million-pound ATL and digital brand and performance budget focused on the markets: UK, Spain, Mexico, Sweden, Ireland, Canada, and LATAM, with plans to enter many new markets over the next few years.
We are seeking an experienced French-speaking copywriter to join our global creative team. In this role, you will support our copy team by crafting copy and generating ideas for onsite banners, web content, programmatic digital displays, and paid social banners for the French-Canadian market.
We are looking for a native French speaker with experience in digital copywriting for online businesses, ideally with knowledge of the Quebec market , and fluency in English.
Contract Type - 2 Days a week (Flexi-hours)
Key responsibilities:
- Writing copy and providing ideation for onsite banners and web copy, programmatic digital display and paid social banners in the French-Canadian market.
- Be available on an as-needed basis, responding to tasks as they arise and delivering within pre-agreed timeframes.
- Adapt UK English copy for the French-Canadian market, ensuring it resonates with the local audience by considering cultural nuances, linguistic differences, and regional preferences.
- Work closely with the Product Team to develop and implement new Casino & Bingo promotions tailored to the French-Canadian market.
- Work within the Design Team to create outstanding digital advertising content that engages and delivers commercial results.
- Work closely with our digital marketing team to support the acquisition of new customers and increased share of spend for existing players.
- Work closely with CRM team to create email copy, which delivers high numbers of opens CTRs, registration and deposits, for both prospect and existing customer email campaigns.
- Work with development teams to support the launch of products & features, and optimise UX.
- Create ongoing fun, catchy CRM campaigns, using key information provided in briefing process.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in B2C marketing.
- Exceptionable copywriting, editorial and proofreading skills.
- Proven experience in creating effective long and short copy, primarily for digital channels.
- Creative writing skills with the ability to produce innovative and original ideas.
- Strong understanding and experience in writing SEO-friendly copy.
- Good understanding of Canadian culture and national and local media landscape (specifically Quebec).
- Experience in offline channels such as Direct Mail and ATL.
- Solid understanding of the gaming industry and its customer base.
- Proficient in content strategy and creation.
- Experience in creating content that delivers tangible results.
- Ability to adapt copy to a unique brand tone of voice and specific audiences.
- Experience with CRM-driven acquisition & retention, as well as digital marketing techniques.
- Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Experience working with internal and external agencies.
- Confident, with strong initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills.
- Solid attention to detail.
- Analytical and data-driven approach to predicting and measuring content effectiveness.

- A successful track record in implementing online gaming campaigns, either from the client or agency side, is an advantage but not mandatory.
