Job Description

Our client, an innovator in Construction IoT, is seeking a dedicated Hardware Product Engineer to drive the end-to-end development of their industry-redefining products. You will be instrumental in the full product lifecycle - from design optimization and prototyping to system integration and validation - collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute detailed electrical and mechanical design activities using simulation, CAD modeling, prototyping, and validation to deliver exceptional products.
  • Define and execute comprehensive validation test plans for new and existing products.
  • Design and build test jigs and fixtures for sensor characterization and automated testing.
  • Develop and validate firmware/software for Linux and embedded systems, including creating test cases for official releases.
  • Engage directly with customers during design, testing, implementation, and post-deployment support.
  • Lead supply chain initiatives, including drafting specifications, managing RFQs, and coordinating with vendors.
  • Contribute to R&D and the creation of innovative concepts for future product lines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Systems Design Engineering.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a hardware or product development role.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with embedded systems.
  • 3+ years of programming experience in Python.
  • Proven expertise with SolidWorks or a comparable 3D CAD software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the full product development lifecycle, from concept to manufacturing.
  • Experience working in a startup or small, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Proven ability to design ruggedized products for harsh industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with FEA simulation using SolidWorks Simulation or similar tools.
