Job Description

Instructional Designer

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 months with the possibility of an extension

We are seeking a talented and experienced Instructional Designer to join our Global Planning & Services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming existing PowerPoint training materials into engaging, online, self-paced courses that can be integrated into our Learning Management System (LMS) and other training materials. This role requires a creative and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in instructional design, e-learning development, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand training objectives and content.
  • Design and develop interactive, online, self-paced courses based on existing PowerPoint training materials.
  • Ensure all courses are SCORM-compliant and compatible with our LMS.
  • Create engaging multimedia content, including videos, quizzes, and interactive activities.
  • Conduct needs assessments and learner analysis to tailor content to the target audience.
  • Review and revise course content based on feedback and performance data.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and e-learning.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design and e-learning development.
  • Proficiency in the Articulate 360 suite of programs (including Rise 360 & Storyline 360)
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM compliance.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to implement adult learning principles to create interesting and engaging self-paced training.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in the supply chain planning or other supply chain functions.
  • Knowledge of supply chain planning tools, especially Kinaxis Maestro (formerly Kinaxis RapidResponse)

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • As a contractor, including remote contractors, you may be required to complete a background check.
