About you

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• 1+ years of experience as a Law Clerk, with a focus on insurance defense litigation
• A Law Clerk college diploma
• Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure
• Familiarity with Supreme Court of Canada procedures, including the Supreme Court of Canada Act and the Rules of the Supreme Court of Canada
• Knowledge of the Guidelines for Preparing Documents to be Filed with the Supreme Court of Canada is an asset

About the role

If hired, you will:

• Manage legal files, correspondence, and deadlines for liability and tort law cases
• Support lawyers in negligence, product liability, motor vehicle accident litigation, slip and falls, and other tort liability cases
• Draft pleadings, motions, mediation briefs, and pre-trial briefs
• Coordinate case discovery and document production with summaries and chronologies
• Prepare trial materials and liaise with lawyers, clients, and opposing counsel
• Collaborate with the legal team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks
