THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re seeking a high-performing  Marketing Manager, River Cruises to lead national marketing projects and integrated campaigns for  Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours and  Emerald Cruises . This role requires a proactive and strategic thinker who takes initiative to continuously seek ways to enhance marketing strategies. Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently and rally a cross-functional team, while bringing fresh ideas to the table are key to driving brand awareness, engagement, and sales through innovative marketing initiatives tailored to river cruising audiences and travel advisor partners. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Campaign Management & Execution

• Lead, national marketing campaigns and at times liaise with our global marketing contacts to adapt and/or create marketing assets for the Canadian market.
• Manage end-to-end execution (and project management of) promotions and event marketing, coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
• Oversee timely content creation for digital and print materials, including direct mail, emails, website pages, press and magazine ads, social media, and flyers.

Content & Communications

• Develop compelling copy and strategically use AI to facilitate consumer and trade marketing initiatives that highlight the unique appeal of luxury river cruising.
• Ensure internal teams are informed about promotions to drive sales conversions.
• Plan and execute engaging e-mail and omni-channel marketing campaigns focused on luxury river cruising experiences.

Media & Brand Management

• Lead media planning, booking, and creative execution.
• Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials.
• Track campaign performance and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Trade Marketing & Partnerships

• Develop B2B marketing strategies and sales support tools for travel agents specializing in river cruises.
• Collaborate with sales teams and key accounts to enhance market presence.
• Manage trade communications, including newsletters, flyers, and travel agency promotional campaigns to help grow trade marketing relationships.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and support a marketing coordinator, providing consistent guidance and coaching.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture that encourages innovation and problem-solving.
• Oversee workload distribution and ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.

WHO YOU ARE

• 5+ years of B2B / B2C marketing experience, preferably in travel, hospitality, or luxury tourism.
• 2+ years in a managerial role with team leadership experience.
• Highly self-motivated, flexible and highly adaptable to changing priorities
• Able to work independently without constant direction and thrive in an environment where you can bring fresh ideas and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Excellent writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of advertising principles, media planning, and digital marketing.
• Passion for luxury travel and an understanding of the cruise industry is a plus.
