Toys R Us Canada, proud to be Canadian owned and operated, has opportunities for full-time Picker / Packers on the day shift. This position is performed in our Concord Distribution Centre and will support the clothing and accessories operation with the Toys R Us Distribution Centre.

Shift Times : Monday to Friday, 7:00a.m. to 3:30p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general labour and material handling duties within a fulfillment operation which includes customer online orders as well as ship to store orders
• Using RF Technology, pick customer orders in a timely manner from a pick list
• Ensure order picking accuracy and on-time delivery of all orders
• Pack and ship orders ensuring they are complete, accurate, adhering to company’s quality standards
• Read and match labels to product to ensure quality standards are met at each stage. Verify that Sku / similar named product, quantity and correct product codes are on package.
• Understand all shipping documentation, including pick slips, packaging details, shipping labels to ensure orders are accurate.
• Pack orders in a space efficient manner
• Report any discrepancies or damages to the Supervisor.
• Pick and put away pallets either manually, using a pump truck
• Inspect all powered equipment and complete the daily inspection sheet before operation of any powered equipment.
• Shrink wrap pallet to ensure cartons are transferred safely.
• Practice safe stacking and securing materials onto pallets. Ensure even distribution of pallets to prevent tipping.
• Stack empty pallets as needed and adhere to all housekeeping standards.
• Ensure internal and external customers’ requirements are met in an efficient, knowledgeable and professional manner
• Maintain your work area in a safe and organized manner
• Comply with Toys”R”Us Health and Safety policies, procedures and standards and with the OHSA.
• Must be able to meet all productivity standards established by the company.
• Work in all areas of the Distribution Centre, based on the needs of the business.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse experience, picking, packing and putaway.
• Must have prior experience with using computers and possess basic computer skills
• Must have previous experience using RF Guns.
• Able to operate pallet jacks
• Must have previous experience and hold a valid Walkie Stacker (Blue Giant) license
• Must be willing to work flexible hours in support of business needs (days or afternoons)
• Must have high initiative, integrity and dependability to function effectively as a team player
• Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position (able to lift up to 40 lbs)
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• English comprehension and Mathematical skills
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize work and resolve issues effectively
