ReGen, a part of the Liberty Group family of companies, is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer responsible for assisting and advising on all matters related to mechanical systems in buildings, such as HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing.
This role is on-site at our Electric Utility in Hamilton, Bermuda. Relocation assistance is available. Work Visa and residency support is provided for out of country candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide engineering support and solutions for new and existing mechanical systems; liaising with coordinating specialist engineering colleagues, consultants, and vendors
• Prepare technical reports in support of assessment findings, recommendations, and design solutions
• Prepare mechanical designs, including mechanical drawings, cost estimates and schedules
• Develop and manage projects from initiation through to closure, including planning applications, preparation of tender documentation and evaluation of tenders
• Supervise and commission assigned projects and ensure proper project hand over, including as-built documentation and occupancy certificates
• Keep abreast of current local and international mechanical engineering standards, trends, technologies and continually bring leading edge solutions for mechanical issues
• Identify and develop new business opportunities by building relationships with potential clients, industry partners, and vendors
• Support training and development of employees
Education & Experience:
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent qualification
• Registered as a Chartered or Professional Engineer
•Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent is an asset
• LEED Accredited Professional certification considered an asset
