Our client is known for providing a range of mechanical systems and services for commercial and institutional buildings, including hospitals, schools, recreation centres, retail, offices and more. With projects ranging from $50,000 to $3 million, our client holds high standards for every employee and sub trade they work with and is well respected in the industry.
Your new role
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for the accurate, timely preparation of full-cost estimates for projects, including materials and labour. You will be tasked with preparing and maintaining a list of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors. You will also analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation in the preparation of accurate, profitable mechanical estimating, budgeting time, cost, and labour estimates for products, projects, or services.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed as the Senior Mechanical Estimator, you will bring 5–10+ years in the mechanical construction industry and be eager to learn and grow in the role and with the organization. You will need to be familiar with mechanical contracting and associated components, be detail-oriented, and someone who can work independently, though also work well in a team. You will be approachable and professional with customers, proficient in AccuBid, and Microsoft Office products, and ideally have experience estimating commercial or institutional construction.
