What You Will Do - Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers, referring physicians, and /or clinics, payers, and supporting transplant staff.
- Works together as an integrated team and maintains positive relationships.
- Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
- Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values.
- Maintains knowledge and skills necessary to care for patients in all phases of the transplant process occurring in both the in-patient and out-patient setting.
Additional Responsibilities - Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Qualifications
Education - Other Accredited Program: (Required) or
- (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
Work Experience - 1+ years of nursing experience (Required) and
- 2+ years of transplant experience may be considered in lieu of one year of nursing experience. (Required) and
- Transplant experience (Preferred) and
- Experience managing the care of patients with end-stage organ disease (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities - Computer skills (Required proficiency)
- Microsoft Office (Required proficiency)
- Electronic Medical Records (Required proficiency)
Licenses and Certifications - Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire) and
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
