Job Description

MYC Media is looking for a Front Desk/Office Administrator, who will be in charge of the organization's efficiency of daily office operations. From redirecting phone calls, to communicating between departments, you will be responsible for completing multi-level tasks in a professional and timely manner.

Please note that this is a  full-time on-site  position in  Mississauga, ON.

Schedule:  Monday to Friday.

Salary: $20 - $22 per hour (BOE) +Benefits (after the completion of 3-month probation period).

What your typical day at work will be like:

  • Answering and transferring all incoming main-line phone calls in a polite and friendly manner.
  • Providing customer support to visitors and customers upon arrival in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Operate standard office equipment on a regular basis, including a fax machine, a copy machine, and a computer
  • Alerting team members of arriving visitors and meeting appointments..
  • Responding to general email inquiries and forwarding to appropriate parties.
  • Ordering and maintaining raw materials inventory and general office orders.
  • Collaborating with the fabrication team to ensure large-scale supplies are maintained.
  • Collaborating with the Accounting team to maintain employee time tracking and records.
  • Sending invoices to customers, processing payments, following up on outstanding invoices / collections.
  • Matching invoices with packing slips, and tracking all incoming invoices.
  • Updating company database.
  • Arranging shipping and pickups with couriers and customers
  • Assisting other departments when needed.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in an office environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to type 45 wpm minimum.
  • Strong phone skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Punctual with strong attendance history.
  • An enthusiastic, friendly, and highly engaging attitude.
  • Ability to self-manage and adhere to deadlines.
  • Extremely organized and conscientious.
  • Good problem-solving skills and time management skills.
