We have an excellent opportunity available for an Oncology Pharmacy Clinical Specialist to join an Award-winning hospital facility located in the state of Illinois. This is a M-F Dayshift schedule. Interested candidates should have their bachelor's degree in pharmacy or PharmD. Inpatient Hospital experience is desired.
Completion of PGY-2 Oncology Residency or a minimum of 5 years non-dispensing oncology experience required. Board certification in oncology pharmacy specialty (BCOP) required within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities of the Oncology Pharmacist:
Manages drug therapy treatment plans and protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
Reviews, interprets, monitors, and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.
Provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
Review, assess, and assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Assist pharmacy buyer in maintaining oncology drug inventory and help navigate drug shortages.
Consults with other department directors, hospital administration and other hospital personnel as necessary or designated by the director.
