Personal Training Manager Job Description: The primary objective of the Personal Training Manager is to actively manage and supervise our Personal Trainers, providing managerial-level support to maximize member participation and retention in our paid Personal Training Services. This involves managing, motivating, and supporting Personal Trainers to meet and exceed new client acquisition and existing client retention goals. The Personal Training Manager is responsible for communicating and upholding company standards, coaching, training, and supervising Personal Trainers to meet or exceed standards, and leading by example. Ensuring team members adhere to punctuality, dress code, friendliness, and cleanliness is essential. To effectively fulfill the role, the following elements are required: The Manager must be physically present in the club at least 5 days per week, supervising all Personal Trainers, responding promptly to client needs and complaints, and should not be absent more than 2 days consecutively. Work hours may vary, averaging around 40 hours weekly, with additional hours during busy seasons or when performance improvement is needed. The Manager must provide managerial-level support to members, resolving customer complaints and service issues within 24 to 48 hours, ideally same day or by the next day. The Manager must regularly use discretion to manage scheduling of Personal Trainer sessions, allocate resources to maximize sales, meet Personal Trainers’ needs, and ensure high customer satisfaction. Providing consistent support, guidance, and oversight to Personal Trainers is required. Supervising and monitoring Personal Trainers’ performance regularly, exercising discretion in management decisions, and recommending personnel changes when necessary are key responsibilities. The Manager must generate data and reports related to sales, membership status, and Personal Trainer performance, and make recommendations to meet or exceed sales targets based on observations and data analysis. Qualifications & Skills: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must have managerial experience Ability to exercise discretion independently Knowledge of Personal Training techniques and program design Familiarity with Crunch programs like VFP, dotFit, ABC/Datatrak, Crunch U, Styku, etc. Ability to operate all club equipment Experience in coaching and motivating groups Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills Positive, enthusiastic attitude Strong member service focus Professional response to guest, member, and staff requests Education Level: High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor’s Degree preferred Current CPR certification Certifications: One or more of the following: ACSM CPT, ACE CPT, The Cooper Institute CPT, IFPA CPT, NASM CPT or CES, NESTA CPT, NFPT CPT, NSCA CPT or CSCS Experience: 1-2 years as a Personal Trainer preferred Management experience in retail/hospitality leading 3-10 employees preferred Consultative sales experience preferred Physical Requirements: Ability to work in the club office and move about club floors Ability to review, revise, and create paperwork; communicate effectively Regularly demonstrate or explain physical activities; lift up to 50 pounds #J-18808-Ljbffr Crunch Fitness
