With manufacturing facilities in Toronto Ontario, Maxxit specializes in design assist, project management, and fabrication of innovative interior and exterior architectural solutions.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Maxxit Systems Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to lead both our assembly and metal fabrication operations. The successful candidate will oversee the assembly and metal fabrication processes. This role involves managing a team of up to 50 employees, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high standards of quality, managing resources, and meeting production deadlines.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Oversee day-to-day operations of both the assembly and metal fabrication departments.
• Manage and supervise a team of permanent and temporary employees.
• Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and 5S-compliant work environment.
• Train and develop team members, providing guidance and support in both assembly and fabrication processes.
• Ensure the maintenance of tools and machines to minimize downtime.
• Continuously assess and improve assembly and fabrication processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

REQUIREMENTS

• University degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, or a similar field, is required.
• Proven experience in a production or assembly management role.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Ability to implement and monitor production schedules
• Experience in tool and machinery maintenance.
• Previous experience in metal fabrication industries is required.
• Technical knowledge of laser cutting, punching, forming, welding, and CNC programming is required.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Experience in training and mentoring staff.

** Testing will be required to determine ability to read blueprints and schematics.
