Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Program Manager to lead the successful implementation of an Oracle ERP solution across multiple countries within the highly regulated oil and gas and utilities industries. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex, multi-phased, and geographically distributed ERP projects, with a focus on stakeholder management, sponsor engagement, and regulatory compliance.
As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for orchestrating the entire ERP implementation process, ensuring it aligns with business objectives, timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements. You will play a critical role in engaging with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and global teams to deliver a solution that meets organizational needs and enhances operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership & Execution:
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of the Oracle ERP implementation across multiple regions, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory frameworks, and industry-specific standards (oil and gas, utilities).
- Drive the development of detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and risks, and lead the execution of the project to successful completion.
- Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with various internal departments (IT, finance, operations, legal, HR, etc.) to ensure smooth integration of the ERP solution.
- Monitor and report on program performance, adjusting strategies and plans as necessary to ensure project milestones are met.
Stakeholder Management:
- Engage and manage relationships with key stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives, regional business leaders, and functional teams.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear, consistent, and effective communication.
- Understand and address stakeholder expectations, managing competing priorities and balancing regional nuances while maintaining global alignment.
- Facilitate workshops, steering committees, and executive reviews to ensure stakeholder buy-in and alignment throughout the program lifecycle.
Sponsor Engagement & Communication:
- Work closely with program sponsors to ensure their vision, objectives, and expectations are reflected in the program's deliverables.
- Regularly provide program updates to sponsors and senior leadership, highlighting key achievements, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that the program is consistently aligned with the strategic direction of the organization and adheres to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify, assess, and manage program risks, issues, and changes in scope. Implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize disruption.
- Lead the resolution of complex problems and navigate challenges involving cross-cultural, regulatory, and technical considerations.
Regulatory Compliance & Industry Standards:
- Ensure that the ERP implementation adheres to relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR, financial reporting, etc.).
- Work with subject matter experts to maintain an understanding of current and evolving regulatory frameworks in the oil and gas and utilities sectors.
Budget & Resource Management:
- Oversee program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and controlling costs.
- Ensure that program resources are effectively allocated across regions and functional teams to maintain momentum and meet deadlines.
Key Requirements:
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in program management, with a focus on large-scale ERP implementations (Oracle preferred) in a global, multi-country environment.
- Extensive experience in the oil and gas, utilities, or other regulated industries, with deep understanding of industry-specific business processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proven track record of managing complex programs involving multiple stakeholders, regions, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong experience in managing senior executives, program sponsors, and diverse stakeholder groups.
Skills & Competencies:
- Expertise in project and program management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive consensus at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in risk management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Deep knowledge of ERP systems, particularly Oracle, and an understanding of how to configure and integrate ERP solutions to meet business needs.
- Ability to navigate regulatory complexities and ensure compliance across multiple geographies.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (required).
- PMP, PgMP, or similar Project Management certifications (preferred).
- Oracle ERP certification (preferred).
