Overview:

Our client, a mutual benefit corporation and health plan provider, seeks an accomplished Project Manager (Landscape Construction) .

Description:

  • Maintain construction schedules of projects under management as assigned.
  • Ensure projects under management are completed at or under the assigned project budget.
  • Ensure productivity of construction managers on projects responsible for.
  • Interface with customers to communicate progress and project-level issues.
  • Attend pre-construction meetings and weekly progress meetings.
  • Review purchase order requests and send them to the project coordinator for execution as needed.
  • Coordinate with construction managers to complete inspections required by city and local governments.
  • Field technical questions from construction managers and troubleshoot.
  • Utilize PlanGrid to create field reports and task lists for jobs under management.
  • Review job site progress and schedule progress by visiting job sites daily.
  • Collect T&M tags from the field to submit change orders to customers for extra work.
  • Generate RFIs and submit them to the designer during the construction process.
  • Coordinate project closeout processes for jobs under management. Work with the post-construction team to get jobs into maintenance and turned over.
  • Manage the preconstruction process for all projects assigned to you.
  • Attend weekly operations meetings.
  • Conduct daily and weekly meetings with the project management team.
  • Manage project support staff assigned to you, ensuring they hit their individual KPIs.
  • Other duties assigned by operations leadership.
  • Manage and direct construction manager staff assigned to you.
  • Field all questions from CMs.
  • Manage crew size and equipment as needed utilizing labor hours budget by project.
  • Ensure CM meets project deadlines.
  • Meet with CM staff at 6 AM every morning to review the daily schedule and job status.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years or more experience in commercial landscape construction.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft software systems such as Word and Excel.
  • Strong desire to be a part of a close working supportive team.
  • A willingness to learn and complete tasks as needed to support the team.
  • Comfortable working with various software systems.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Highly organized, willing to coach and develop others.
  • Expert level skill with landscape construction plans, submittals, specs and common means and methods of landscape construction.
  • Team player with the ability to contribute to a team centric culture.
  • The ability to visit and inspect job sites, which may involve walking, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Dexterity to operate construction tools and equipment as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve project issues.
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing customers, construction managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High level of attention to detail to ensure project accuracy and compliance.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
