The Role

We are seeking a Bilingual Research Coordinator to lead the expansion of our Good Gamer Group (GGG) into Japan. This role involves growing and managing the GGG community in Japan, ensuring smooth participant recruitment, and maintaining compliance with local regulations. As a key member of the Japanese team, you will work closely with our Systems Specialist in the United States while adhering to a standard work schedule aligned with Japan's time zone. This is a full-time, flexible role requiring approximately 40 hours per week, with occasional weekend work offset by weekday adjustments.

Community Growth & Engagement:

  • Lead the development and management of the Good Gamer Group in Japan.
  • Act as the local representative for GGG, fostering authenticity and integrity.
  • Identify and negotiate with online Japanese gaming communities to expand GGG membership.

Participant Recruitment & Support:

  • Recruit and screen participants for studies, ensuring they meet research requirements.
  • Manage participant communication and resolve inquiries via our online support system.
  • Oversee incentive distribution post-study completion.

Client & Compliance Management:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for Japanese clients, with some client management responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with local data privacy laws and best practices.

Translation & Localization:

  • Use translation tools and partners to localize surveys and screeners.
  • Verify Japanese-language consistency in survey content.

Marketing & Campaign Management:

  • Plan and execute online advertising and social media campaigns to recruit gamers.
  • Collaborate with the U.S. team to run user acquisition initiatives within a dedicated budget.

Administrative & Analyst Support:

  • Monitor and review participant submissions, including videos and open-ended responses.
  • Support light analyst tasks, such as creating presentations, analyzing data, and survey checks.

Ideal Profile

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Japanese and English, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of Japan's gaming industry and communities.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and virtual communication tools (e.g., Zoom).
  • Self-motivated team player with a passion for gaming.
  • Willingness to travel to Tokyo for occasional on-site testing.
