Are you a seasoned professional with a proven track record in hotel software sales and a knack for translating technology solutions into tangible benefits? If you're adept at navigating the intersection of hospitality and technology, with a strong background in hospitality IT solutions & sales, we have an exciting opportunity for you to excel in a dynamic Sales role.

Position Overview :

As a Sales Manager, you'll be talking about our cutting-edge technology offerings which help our clients' operational needs. Leveraging your 6-10 years of experience in hospitality IT Sales, specifically in the hotel technology realm, you will play a pivotal role in presenting how our solutions can enhance their efficiency, revenue management, and overall guest experiences. The Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with key decision-makers, and achieving sales targets within the assigned territory. Your confident familiarity with terms like Online Reputation Management, PMS, API and cloud is essential to succeed in this role.

What You Will Do

Enablement

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence in the JAPAN hospitality industry.
  • Identify and prioritize key accounts and prospects within the territory, conducting thorough research to understand their business needs and challenges.
  • Track sales performance metrics, pipeline activity, and revenue forecasts, providing regular updates and reports to senior management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, serving as a trusted advisor and consultant on IT solutions tailored to their specific requirements.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process, from initial prospecting and lead generation to negotiation, contract closure, and post-sale follow-up. Update CRM time to time for updates.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including pre-sales, marketing, operation support, to ensure alignment of sales efforts with company objectives and customer needs.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to prospects, effectively communicating the value proposition and benefits of our IT solutions, leveraging your exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Utilize your deep understanding of hotel operations to demonstrate how our solutions can streamline front office processes and elevate guest satisfaction.

Sales & Market Research

  • Evaluate and validate potential and existing partners, incl. qualifying leads (partnering with Marketing in key initiatives for lead generation and materials).
  • Accelerating the sales process by identifying solutions to customer pain points.
  • If needed, in preparation with/for the sales team, communicate with project management to translate clients’ requirements and smooth transition from sales to implementation.
  • Review new marketing documents for accurate promotion of the product.

Strategy & Innovation

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of international hospitality industry trends and developments. Functioning as an ambassador of innovation for the product and company, introducing new industry trends and developments.

Documentation & Controlling

  • Manage and control proposal/deal qualification, including quote verification.
  • Keeping product documentation up to date, highlighting the aim and purpose of the product.

  • Update yourself on the new product enhancements, integration projects, RFI’s and RFP’s.
  • Providing product knowledge support, translating the technical aspects of the product to the pre-sales team and client, being the intermediary between product management and client.

Additionally

  • Coalize with the Marketing department to discuss sales expectations, help highlight product USP’s, introducing innovative approaches on representation of the company/products, evaluate the methodologies and strategies applied to reach the relevant markets and clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6-10 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in the hospitality technology or SaaS industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in the Japanese Market.
  • Comfortable discussing and explaining hospitality technology concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex information.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to address operational challenges with creative solutions.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and an aptitude for working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Certifications or additional training in hotel technology and operations are a plus.
  • A high degree of autonomy and self-motivation.
  • Highly structured, outgoing and social person, ready to communicate with employees, customers and partners across different countries and different organizational levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Japanese & English). Any other language will be an advantage.
