Job Description

Our client in the public sector is seeking a contract based Agile Project Manager focused on delivery of key strategic initiatives and overseeing agile teams for our client's digital ecosystem.

This role is responsible for overseeing agile teams, rolling out new digital solutions, and ensuring seamless transitions of ongoing operations to

Duration: 12 months

Location: Hybrid 3d/week Toronto

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, tracking, and alignment of business priorities, project scope, and timelines across agile teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Maintain a holistic view of end-to-end delivery flow, identifying bottlenecks and ensuring smooth project execution.
• Track and report key delivery metrics & KPIs , continuously improving Agile team performance.
• Act as a Scrum Master when required , providing Agile coaching and facilitating Agile ceremonies.
• Serve as a liaison between cross-functional Agile teams and senior leadership , ensuring key decisions and risks are communicated effectively.
• • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the Agile teams.
• • Work closely with Portfolio & Planning to manage resourcing needs and Digital Agile Enablement for Agile knowledge rollout.
• Partner with other Digital Agile Project Managers to ensure strategic initiatives are successfully delivered and transitioned to operations.
• Identify and resolve complex delivery impediments at multiple levels, including Senior Leaders and Product Owners .
• Implement change management strategies to drive Agile transformation and adaptability within the team.
• Support Agile team setup and transition post-delivery , ensuring proper resource and knowledge handoff.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in Agile project management and large-scale digital project delivery .
• Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, Lean, etc.).
• Experience working with modern development technologies and system integration patterns .
• Ability to apply Agile principles, tools, and techniques to software product development.
• Experience facilitating cross-functional Agile teams in a fast-paced digital environment.
• Expertise in Agile metrics tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement .
• Agile Project Manager Certification (preferred). Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification (preferred).
