As we grow, we are looking for an experienced SEO/SEM Specialist to help us optimize our digital content for both traditional search engines and next-generation AI-based search engines. Position Overview:

As the SEO/SEM Specialist at Scribenote, you will be responsible for developing and executing SEO, SEM and GEO strategies that enhance the discoverability of our content across traditional search engines and AI-driven search platforms. You’ll work closely with the content, marketing, and product teams to optimize our website, blog, and other digital assets to drive organic traffic, improve search rankings, and ensure our content is primed for the future of search, including LLMs and AI-based technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

SEO Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy to drive organic traffic, improve search engine rankings, and maximize visibility for our content across Google, Bing, and other traditional search engines.

Generative Engine Optimization:

  • Stay at the forefront of search engine technology, including AI-based search platforms and large language models (LLMs). Optimize content to ensure it’s discoverable by AI-powered search engines, voice assistants, and other emerging search technologies.

Keyword Research & Content Optimization:

  • Conduct keyword research and identify search trends across both traditional and AI-powered search engines. Optimize web pages, blog posts, landing pages, and product descriptions to rank higher in both conventional search results and AI-based searches. Draft and edit blog posts regularly to improve organic search rankings.

On-Page & Technical SEO:

  • Perform on-page SEO audits and optimization, including meta tags, headers, schema markup, and URL structure. Collaborate with development teams to implement technical SEO improvements, such as improving website speed, mobile optimization, and crawlability.

SEM Campaigns & Paid Search:

  • Manage and optimize SEM campaigns across Google Ads and other search engines. Develop strategies for bidding, keyword targeting, and ad copy to maximize ROI and drive qualified traffic.

AI & NLP Content Strategy:

  • Work with the content team to develop an SEO strategy specifically tailored for AI-powered search, utilizing natural language processing (NLP) techniques. Ensure content is optimized for conversational queries and AI-driven search intents.

Link Building & Outreach:

  • Lead initiatives for high-quality link building and partnerships to improve domain authority and drive referral traffic.

Performance Tracking & Analytics:

  • Use SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.) to track keyword rankings, traffic, and performance metrics. Regularly report on SEO and SEM KPIs, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Stay Updated on Industry Trends:

  • Monitor changes in search engine algorithms, AI developments, and emerging trends in digital marketing. Keep the team informed and adapt strategies accordingly to maintain competitive advantages.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in SEO and SEM, including optimizing for both traditional search engines and newer AI-based search platforms.
  • Proven track record of successfully optimizing websites and content for top rankings across search engines.
  • Experience with paid search campaigns (Google Ads, Bing Ads) and performance tracking.

Skills & Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and how they apply to traditional and AI-based search engines.
  • Expertise in keyword research, SEO tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs), and technical SEO.
  • Experience with AI-based SEO tools and emerging technologies like NLP, LLMs, and voice search optimization.
  • Proficiency in SEM platforms like Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other PPC tools.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights to improve SEO and SEM performance.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with AI tools like GPT-based technologies, semantic search, and NLP optimization.
  • Experience working with content management systems (CMS) and development teams to implement SEO best practices.
  • Strong understanding of structured data (schema markup), mobile-first indexing, and site speed optimization.
