Position Title: Electronic Security Technician/Installer Location: Nashville, TN Duration: 6-Month Contract to Hire Compensation: $27-$31/Hour Job Description A client in the Nashville, TN area is looking for a Mid-High Level Electrical Installer to join their team. They will be doing a variety of tasks such as installing, programming, system start-up/check-out, and related customer training on assigned fire, security, and/or building automation projects. Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services a variety of systems and equipment which may include security, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation Interprets manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools Makes suggestions for installation methods to improve profitability and quality. Responsible for providing basic hand tools as required to perform the daily tasks of the position Required Skills & Experience: ~ Minimum of 1-4 years of previous, relevant field experience preferred. ~ Experience installing access control (Hanging mag locks, installing cameras, cut in strikes - any kind of locking hardware). ~ Basic construction skills including electrical or low voltage background and understanding of system plans. ~○ Wiring Head End, Terminating Wires, and Panel Wiring ~ Ability to read and understand blueprints, and design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, and cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support). ~ Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) ~ Relevant trade designation (e.g. Electrician) preferred Nice to Have Skills & Experience: Product-specific certifications helpful; industry-specific certifications desired Experience with Genetec, Access Control, CCTV, Lenel
