OFFICE ASSISTANT

Established in 1997 Metro Electric Engineering Technologies is a family-owned and operated electrical contracting business performing electrical construction services in Southern Michigan for the commercial and industrial industries, along with service work in residential communities.  Metro Electric takes pride in employing high-quality individuals. We are looking for an Office Assistant who supports the day-to-day operations of the company.

What You Will Do

• Assist in answering commercial business phones
• Manage the job start-up process
• Track time and materials
• Manage Foreman correspondence, dumpsters, inspections, permits, owner training, etc.
• Manage project close-out
• Assistant to GM and VP
• Maintain spreadsheets

What We Want From You

• 2+ years of office assistant experience, preferably within home services
• Professional and customer-focused personality
• Self-starter, reliable, etc.
• Present and communicate professionally (written and verbal)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Telephone etiquette and working knowledge of email systems
• Ability to develop tools that create efficiencies within the department
• High School Diploma or equivalent
