Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description

You will be building large custom water purification systems. These systems are extensive piping apparatuses that produce reverse osmosis filtration water for mines, nuclear plants, sports stadiums, and large commercial buildings. This is a job project shop, not a production line, meaning every day will present new challenges and experiences. Imagine taking a construction crew and bringing them indoors to an air-conditioned building, working together as a team to build these systems.

Responsibilities

• Read engineering drawings and blueprints
• Build and assemble plumbing manifolds with PVC pipe, stainless steel, copper, and galvanized materials
• Glue, measure, cut PVC pipes, and polish
• Attach brackets and hooks

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of experience with a tape measure, reading in inches and centimeters
• 1+ year of experience with hand and power tools (screwdriver, drill, wrench)
• PVC pipe fitting experience
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Fabricating experience
• Plumbing experience

Work Environment

You will be working in a large new production shop with a spacious assembly area, a small wiring area, and a small welding area. The environment is very relaxed, and if you need a day off, simply communicate with the team.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chaska, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
